Innovate Academy Partners with the ACCS, SCL, and CLT: A Shared Vision for Classical Education
Innovate Academy is grateful to stand alongside a growing national movement of schools committed to classical, Christian education. As part of that commitment, we are proud to partner with the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Society of Classical Learning (SCL) while offering the Classic Learning Test (CLT) as our primary standardized assessment.
These partnerships connect our scholars and mentors (teachers) to a vibrant community that shares a common vision: forming young people who love truth, pursue wisdom, and engage the world with creativity and conviction.

Learning Together with the Society of Classical Learning
Our relationship with the Society of Classical Learning further deepens that commitment. SCL brings together educators, scholars, and school leaders to explore how the Classical • Christian • Collaborative approach can flourish in today’s world. Through SCL, our faculty engage in ongoing formation, learning how to teach in ways that are thoughtful, humane, and academically robust.
These connections ensure that Innovate Academy remains both rooted in tradition and responsive to the needs of modern scholars.
Measuring What Matters: The CLT
In keeping with our philosophy, Innovate Academy uses the Classic Learning Test (CLT) in addition to a state-standardized exam (called the IOWA's). The CLT is designed to assess the very skills our model cultivates:
careful reading of rich texts,
logical reasoning,
strong vocabulary and writing, and
engagement with the great ideas of history.
Unlike tests built around short passages and multiple-choice strategies, the CLT reflects the kind of learning our scholars experience daily—deep, language-centered, and connected to the Great Conversation.
