All scholars in all grades–Pre-K through 8th–are required to have a daily uniform as well as a PE/gym uniform.

Below are the uniform guidelines while on the school campus during the school day and on field trips, unless directed otherwise. All clothing (with the exception of pants, shorts, and skorts) is to be purchased from Land's End (LE). Lands End will embroider our shirts with the Innovate Academy logo.

Pants, shorts, and skorts can be purchased from the uniform department in Old Navy, Target, and Children’s Place stores. Please refer to the type of pants and shorts listed on the Innovate LE sites for guidelines as you purchase.

  • LEGWEAR (girls): Tights can be neutral, solid navy, or white; leggings (calf-length or ankle length) can be solid navy, white, or gray. 

  • SHIRTS: Tops should be weather-appropriate. Short and long sleeve shirts can be gray, navy blue, or white. Polo shirts and t-shirts are required to have the school logo on them and can be purchased from LE.

  • LAYERS: Sweaters, fleeces, and sweatshirts are required to have the school logo on them and are available as options from LE.

  • PANTS: Uniform colors are classic khaki or navy. 

  • SHORTS: Uniform colors are classic khaki or navy. Cargo shorts are not permitted.

  • JUMPERS: For girls, this dress can be khaki, navy, or plaid (see LE for reference on plaid colors).

  • SKORTS/SKIRTS: For girls, this style bottom (also called scooter, with shorts sewn into skirt) can be khaki, navy, or plaid (see LE for reference on plaid colors). There is a non-skort option for the skirt in the same colors. Shorts, leggings, or tights should be worn under the regular skirt.

  • SHOES / SOCKS: Shoes should be closed-toe and have a back (no flip-flops or sandals), clean and supportive for outdoor play. Sneakers are advised for gym days. In general, socks should match the uniform color scheme, unless scholars are dressing for a special themed day.

  • PE/GYM UNIFORMS: Scholars may wear gym uniform attire all school day on their assigned gym day (1 day/week, per their class schedule). Tops are short or long sleeve t-shirts with school logo. Outer layers with school logo are acceptable, per weather. Bottoms are non-branded cobalt/royal blue mesh shorts, jogger sweatpants or track pants. Note - PE/gym classes are typically held outside, so PE/gym uniform attire should be weather appropriate.

  • Miscellaneous: Non-school logo sweatshirts or sweatshirt jackets are not to be worn during the school day. Hats are not permitted during school, unless for a special themed day or event. During scheduled dress-down days students should wear clothing that is appropriate, modest, and self-respectful. Tops with spaghetti straps or “belly” length are not permitted. Short shorts are not permitted. Clothes should fit appropriately and not be too big or too small.

At Innovate Academy, our expectation is that parents will help their students comply with these rules and support the faculty and administration when infractions are brought to their attention. Students should assume the responsibility to be in dress code throughout the academic day.
